6 and 12 string guitar

Spring is here in all its glory and summer is coming down the road. I will be in the Boston area around June 22 and 23 and in Montreal for the guitar festival at the end of June.  I have the pleasure of playing with Ken Bonfield again as Artistry of the Guitar. Ken and I are doing this trip together and we will be in California together again in August. I will have all this up on the schedule soon.

Ken and I will also be playing new guitars by Al Carruth. Mine is a 12 string and Ken's is a 6 string. For those of you who have seen Ken and I recently, the harp guitar Ken plays and other guitars that Ken tours with are built by Al. I am very excited about the 12 string. First of all it will be an instrument built by Al Carruth. Secondly it will be ergonomically designed and easier on the body than my current 12 string. Thirdly, it will be all North Amercian woods: Claro Walnut back and sides, Bear Claw Sitka Spruce top and some other bits and pieces of other North American woods. Al is committed to changing minds about tone woods and I am on board.

Hope to see you down the road this summer....enjoy.  Steve
